Yay. It's the holidays. But i think i am pretty packed for the holidays, especially during the first half of it. I think it should go something along this line.
Monday: Training in the morning, afternoon go out, then bowman's chalet. Stay overnight.
Tuesday: Take cab from the chalet to school for training, which will be a camp till wednesday night.
Wednesday: Training camp, and then bbq till 9 and HOME SWEET HOME.
Thursday:I don't think i have anything on. Haha. Make use of the time to study.
Friday: Training in the morning.
I had training this morning and we had lunch at coro. Went to play lan with tingsoon and glenville, later on fang jie came to find us. Tingting and i went to lot 1 with fang jie to buy raja's present. Stayed to play cards while waiting for tingting's parents. I was really tired then. My head felt pretty heavy. Reached home at 620, and my parents were home! Haha. My dad said he was going cycling tonight. I was like "Cycling?! I haven't cycled long distances for a long time!" So i showered, took a nap till 710 and then we left the house to find the group.
There was this guy, called John. Or rather Uncle John, since he is 60+ years old. He was a cyclist who often cycled and trained. People gave him the name "king of the hill". He climbs hill really fast and easily. Impressive. He taught me really really really really really really really really really really really really a lot of stuffs. One of them was of course safety, next was to be humble, and then of course he taught me how to train. I used to cycle by brute force, pushing what i could, which uses the thigh muscles, in which most cyclist would do. However, he taught me how to use the calf muscles and just keep pedalling at a constant pace and taught me how to overtake people using that. It was really really very good and efficient. Oh, on a side note. His calf is freaking disgusting. Hmm, lets say he has the build of a normal person. But his calf muscle is like a BALL stuck on his leg, and it was super super super defined, more defined than anyone else's calf i've ever seen. There was a major calf muscle, and beside it, there were 2 other small defined muscles. Omg. Disgustingly sick. Hahah. Train like mad. I should do that huh?!? But my leg has more hair, so probably people will rather see my leg hair than anything else? HAHA.
After that, our group had supper. Then he asked me to go over to another table, and he talked like one to one with me. Telling me tactics, techniques and other good advices. He trains 120km per day, when he was 20+. He says i have a cyclist build, lean muscles, and should be able to train 150km per day. That's really pushing myself, and i think i will really get those calfs he have!!! But that's tough, i wonder if i will keep to it. The way he ask me to train is not just cycling 150km. It's with a training programme, it's something like "fart legs"(did i spell it correctly?). If i cycle with people,i will have to leave a gap, then just pedal fast and light, instead of pedalling damn hard to chase. I have to chase up, not overtake but stay behind that person. Let that person cycle, then i chase again. Haha. The thing is that person will just cycle normally, and he will think that i'm slow. But i just do my own training by pedalling lightly but fast, i won't tell him i'm training. After months of that training, i will suddenly emerge faster just by pedalling lightly, and if i pedal hard, i'll be even faster. AND THE KEY FACTOR IS >>>>>> HUMBLE. Let them be in front of u all they want, u train on ur own(: I will keep that in mind.
